What you will need:

For this recipe all you need is bacon, cheese and 500g pack of pasta linguine.

  • Cut the bacon into roughly square pieces and place in fry pan over medium heat. Cook till crispy or your desire.

  • In a pot fill three quarters with water and a table spoon of salt, bring to boil before introducing the linguine pasta.

The pasta will take about 8 minutes. Drain pasta, add bacon, serve and grate cheese.

This will feed a family of four, but on your own you will have leftovers for tomorrow lunch.

Bacon and Linguine for Lunch

Last nights leftovers can now be a ready meal for lunch today.

If you have a microwavable lunchbox, you can add a pasta sauce to your bacon linguine meal. At work you can you can microwave your lunch.

A quick review of what is in the refrigerator or cupboard will define your meal. If there is no sauce, you can sprinkle with pepper or chilli. Add some cheese and tomatoes. They will go nice with the bacon and linguine. If lacking ingredients, cover with pepper.

The great thing about leftovers is that you can add anything you like to the meal. A microwave is a useful food warmer and a great way to have a home cooked meal without having to spend lunch money.
